Global ETS Partners with FSI for Semiconductor Innovation

What is FSI?
The Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI) is the University of Florida's initiative to increase Florida's share in the global semiconductor industry. FSI is pursuing next-generation research in chip design, advanced packaging, cybersecurity, and materials science. In collaboration with universities, industry partners, and government agencies, FSI facilitates technological advancements that are critical for everything from consumer products to national security.
Semiconductor Industry Growth
FSI is working to grow Florida’s share of semiconductor manufacturing through company recruitment and investment in the state. Located in Neocity, a new technology hub in Central Florida, they aim to advance semiconductor R&D and high-tech manufacturing. With support from initiatives like the CHIPS Act, FSI is helping to secure America’s semiconductor supply chain while boosting Florida’s economy.
Building a Skilled Workforce
Another goal of FSI is to train and grow the semiconductor workforce. With the demand for skilled engineers and technicians increasing, FSI partners with educational institutions and companies to develop specialized training programs. These initiatives ensure that Florida remains a key player in semiconductor manufacturing and innovation, creating new job opportunities and career pathways.
